Why NGO Monitor is attacking The Electronic Intifada - (Newslink)

Only to be expected that the group attacking EI has ties to Zionists, just as we've learned that one of the Swedish women accusing Julian Assange of improprieties has ties to the CIA.
My personal opinion is that if Assange is going to have unsafe sex with groupies, he's lucky if all he catches are warrants.
As for the news, I think it is immoral to be impartial about genocide or crimes against humanity. Atrocities must be opposed and news agencies that don't oppose atrocities are atrocious.
It reminds me of the way that the psychiatric industry teaches doctors not to identify with patients, to be detached and objective. What's the difference between that and not caring?

Wow...good article.
Freedom of speech....of the press...hmm...
One thing that is not being heard right now is that Nigeria (?) has issued a warrant for Dick Cheney...
Reading today that he's going to turn himself in.
Now that a warrant for his arrest has been issued in the UK, his lawyer is negotiating for him to turn himself in. The lawyer probably wants bail, but the courts might consider him a flight risk. Where the hell would he go? He's probably the most easily recognized man on the planet right now.
There have been plenty of times I thought that my life was fucked up, but it was never anything close to how fucked up his life has been. He's got to be CIA extraordinary rendition or assassination target number one, and there are plenty of other countries that would love to ingratiate themselves with the US by messing with Assange. If he survives this I wouldn't be surprised if he finds himself a monastery and becomes a Buddhist monk. That's for sure what I'd do in his shoes.
Wikileaks now have over 500 mirrors, but I guess there has to be an original site for them to mirror.
I'm sure that Wikileaks will continue, with or without Assange, as long as there's an internet, but they may find themselves without a spokesperson. I can't imagine anyone volunteering for the job at this point, although Julian apparently has a son who feels the same way about things that Julian does.
The new document dump is supposed to be about banks. After pissing off the US government, now he's going after the banksters that finance and control this government.
I'll bet one of the things his attorney is negotiating for is that he not be turned over to any government that might extradite him to the US. Prison conditions are much better in most European countries, and truly excellent in some of the Scandinavian countries.
Here's what you can expect in the US:

I agree.
What is atrocious is not reporting, not uncovering. The atrocity is all of the politicians who are calling for his head. And then there is no countering voice on the media of a poli makes such a statement. No push back.
