Go to YouTube and select a video clip, any clip(?). Hit "play" and let it roll. Nothing out of the ordinary you say? Now click on the soccer ball icon to the right of the screen resolution settings (bottom right). Once activated, vuvuzealesque noise is added. That is what I call FUBAR!
I'm not making this up. Check it out.
YouTube videos, now featuring the vuvuzela
(AFP) – 1 day ago WASHINGTON — Because you just can't get enough of the vuvuzela, YouTube users can now listen to videos on the site accompanied by the trumpet's persistent buzz. A soccer ball icon has begun appearing on some videos on YouTube which, when clicked, emits the swarm of bees sound that has come to be associated with the World Cup in South Africa. Clicking on the ball turns the vuvuzela buzz off. World Cup organizers have rejected calls for a ban on the trumpets, whose incessant droning has been criticized by some players and fans. A YouTube spokeswoman told AFP the vuvuzela button had been added "in the spirit of the World Cup and the fervour that has gripped YouTube office." She said it would remain until the World Cup final on July 11.
